Critical Reading= A Slow and painful death

Just Kidding, I am taking SATs for the last time this saturday. It is safe to say I have been humbled by seeing all the 2350s and 2400s on this site. I need some help for CR. Basically, I read a lot of newspapers and got some pretty decent score ranges on practice tests (720-800), but on the real thing (although I was confident that I did REALLY well) I got a mere 640. Math and Writing I am confident that I can get 800s because the more I practiced the better I got. However for reading, after doing every single practice test in the entire blue book (#2) I actually did worse? Check the score progression in order from first to last test:

770, 760, 720, 770, 740, 770, 750, 690, 770, 690....

IDK what to do honestly and I basically just need a way in which I can be confident about myself this saturday. Thanks to that marvelous 640 I am really unsure of every answer I circle. Someone please please please help me I am really in need :/

Thanks guys and congrats to all those high scorers!

I will be taking the SAT on Saturday (my first time) and then second time in December.
I have been reviewing a bunch of vocabulary words and I feel confident about the verbal. On the reading, I'm decently good, but not great as those with 650s-700s or higher.

this is my range of critical readings:
770, 750, 740, 710, 700, 680...(in order), all from collegeboard book
then I took the actual SAT and got a 760, don't worry about it, just be prepared on the day of the exam

Is there a pattern to the questions you missed? It does no good to keep taking practice tests if you aren't looking over what you missed and figure out why you missed what you missed.
