Testing Problems - help FAST

Hi everyone,

I really screwed up with my testing dates. I would appreciate your help right away. I had registered for the SAT for November and the SAT II in December.

I'm not prepared for the SAT and would probably do worse. These are my options: take the SAT in December, and push the SAT II to January, or take the SAT II in December and push the SAT to January.

Or should I just skip retaking the SAT all together? I hesitate to do this because everyone retakes the SAT, but colleges frown upon January test scores.

I'm applying to some highly competitive schools. Here are my stats to help you give better advice:

SAT: 2280 (combined 1500; CR: 800, Math: 700)
SAT II: US History, 800; Literature; 760

I plan on also taking the chemistry and math I SAT II.

Part of me feels like I wouldn't be able to go up THAT much because I probably won't have much time to study, and that I've passed the threshold and a difference of 30-40 points might not make a huge difference in my application. I feel that doing better on the other SAT IIs might enhance my application more. But I don't know much about this whole process.

I'm stressing out majorly right now and would love your help, asap.

Thanks!

i think u should take sat in december and sat II in january. Colleges would like your SAT I scores with your application. You can send ST|AT II scores later. Plus you'll get time to study.

Let me clarify - even if I retake it in January, I will send out all of my scores by December. If I do better in January, I'll send the Jan scores out to my most competitive schools.

But is it worth it at this point? Or should I just let go?

Thanks for your advice!

Guys, I know I'm being annoying but I have less than an hour to make this decision (completely my fault) so I would really, really appreciate your input.
