Sending my SAT scores

So I just took the SAT test yesterday (first time) and I'm wondering what I should do now....
I know that colleges require an official score report from CollegeBoard and I know that I have 4 free colleges to send it to.

My question is: Can I still allocate colleges to send my scores to after they have been released and I have seen that I am happy with them or do I need to set up which colleges the scores are going to beforehand? I've got a feeling that I saw somewhere that I had until next monday to allocate my colleges but that seems bizarre.

Seeing as its the first time I've taken the test and that I'm a little nervous, I kind of want to check over my score before sending it to my colleges. (Also, several schools state that SAT scores are optional for international students and therefore if I did badly, I won't send it to them.)

I'm just a little puzzled as to when I should set up the schools to send it to...I don't want to miss any kind of deadline and then have to either sacrifice the 4 free schools that I have or not be able to send the scores at all!!!

Thanks in advance.

You can designate or amend your free send list of colleges up to about 5 days before scores come out but if you wait for score to come out then you must pay to send (a charge per send per college). So if you want a free send, make your designations now.
