I'm not 100% sure about this but, I think the white book is the 10RS 1st edition and the red book is either the 2nd or 3rd edition. I think two tests were changed between the 1st and 2nd editions and 2 were changed between the 2nd and the 3rd. I don't have the older books, so I can't say for sure..

Are tests as far back as 1994 actually worth it to obtain?

The more tests one sees, the better off he will be. Looking back at 10+ years of tests, you can see how the test has evolved. ETS/SAT always seem to add a couple of newer type of problems to keep students on their toes. Howver, it is also cyclical ... a question abandoned since 1995 might resurface and puzzle the new generation of test takers. As ETS is working hard to create content for the current SAT, you can fairly assume that they won't throw away the key to their overflowing of weathered questions. The rigorous process of developing and measuring new questions is expensive and long.

However, you should know that TCB has discontinued the bulk sale of past released tests.

Correction to post #3

3. The White First Edition contains
The repeated from prior versions
Saturday March 1994 (will be dropped from the 3d edition)
Saturday November 1994 (Not in 3d edition)
Plus 8 tests
Saturday, May 1995
Saturday, November 1995
Saturday, May 1996
Sunday, May 1996
Saturday, November 1996
Saturday, January 1997
Saturday, May 1997
Sunday May 1997

I don't have The Red Second Edition, but since it contains
2 new tests
Saturday Jan 2000
Sunday May 2000,
it must not include two from The White First Edition.

There is still some confusion:
according to the Study Hall pages conversion table
http://www.studyhall.com/webpage2000/MainAnsSheet.html,
The White First Ed. and The Red Second Ed. contain the same exact tests.

Somebody help?

Oh man, I've tried the white book with 8 practice tests, and they're hella hard. I ended up scoring like 100 points lower than my actual score. I HATE that book!
