Practice Test, or Reading the entire book

Which do you find helps more? Reading the entire ACT/SAT prep book to review over the materials, or taking practice test?

both help me a lot. Practice tests help me determine where I'm weak at, where I'm strong at, where I'm currently at, and where I want to be, but for reinforcing concepts, nothing helps me like reading does.

I read the SAT prep book to see exactly what kind of problems they will ahve. Then I took practice tests.
