Is the world changing for the better? (essay)

Once upon a time, we – humans didn’t dress, couldn’t communicate and survived only because we learnt how to hunt.

Then, with the advance of technology and development of our mentality we learnt many things, but also became rather greedy; wanting more and more, thus constantly engaging in wars where millions of people died.

Now, at last, I think that our values are really developed and our attitudes match those that are necessary to finish the path on the way to what Marx called a “communism” – a time where everyone does equal work and takes only as much goods as he needs to; a time where greed and violence no longer exist and life on earth is serene.

If we go just 100 years back to past, we can see how much we progressed: people have equal rights now, women are allowed to vote, slavery is no longer legal, opposite: the first man of the world’s strongest country is an African-American! Now, there are people who fiercely oppose war and more people are ready to come out, fight for justice and defend their rights.
Furthermore, now we have computers, television, mobile phones and much more.
Humans understand more and more about world, how it functions, who we are and what is our purpose.

Of course, with good comes the bad as well. Violence continues as before and jails are still full of convicts, as they were before; but I believe that system is becoming more and more democratic and fair with time, so I obviously expect further progress and advancement in the future.
To sum it up, I can only agree with Allen E. Goodman and conclude that yes, the world is definitely changing for the better.

Grade and tell me what to change to make it better please. :>
