Taking the SAT for the first time, and I was just curious what a good SAT score would be? Anyone know anything about UMich and their SAT scores??

Well the national average is like a 1500 - so a solid score by most schools means is a around a 1750 to 1800. Of course top schools like Umich would like to see schools in the 1900 - 2200 range.

If you want to go to a top 50 ranked school, try to get an 1800 plus

    Top 10: 2250+
    top 25: 2150+
    top 50: 2000+
    top 100: 1800+

2400 is the only score that is always solid

Yeah it really depends on the school you want to go to. A 2200+ is good enough for just about anywhere.

Please dont listen to the person who said that the top 50 schools have 2000+ averages. That is such a lie. The top 20, maybe 25 do. That clown has no clue what hes talking about

    ^Not True.

For one, Cornell looks at only CR and math. So if a person get's an 750+ on Writing, that is only a 1350+ for CR/Math, which is very weak for Cornell (1450+ puts you IN THE BALLPARK, 1500+ gives you a very good chance).

average sat score is 1500 a good score is in between 1800-2100 and a very good score will be in 2100+ range and a whoa SAT score will be above 2300+.and for univ of Michigan(if that is what you are reffering to in the abbreviation UMich) SAT score requirement you should check their website. i think that following link will be helpful-
