Taking SAT the in June

Okay so I plan on taking my first SAT in October of this year. And if I don't like my scores or think I can do better I'd like to take them again in June (2013). If I took it in June would I have my scores back in time to submit them to colleges for enrollment that fall? If not would I be better off taking it in March or May?

Also I plan on taking a couple SAT Subject tests, should I take those with the SAT? Or should I come back a month later and take them by themselves in hope that I'll be more comfortable and focused?

yes, you'll be fine. SAT scores take around two and a half weeks to process and get sent out, so you'll have them not long after you take the test. I would suggest that the June test be the last you take if you decide to apply ED anywhere.

Hope this helps!

Actually neither, I've already graduated. I was homeschooled K-12 and haven't taken the SAT yet (long story; family stuff got in the way). This is my "gap year" so I'm using this time to take the SAT and SAT subject tests. I might also take a couple CLEPs to beef up my transcript.

Thank you maiden13. Sounds like the tests results come pretty fast, and I'm assuming the SAT subject tests come just as quickly. So I'll have plenty of time to take the SAT twice (hopefully I'll be happy with my score to not take it a third time) and few other tests as well.
