Is 600-680 a good place to start? (CR)

I just took the CR section on Test 4 in the Blue Book and the estimated range for my performance was 600-680. Is that a good place to start? I hope to increase my score by 100 points at least...lol

Definitely a strong starting point then... You can definitely get it up to a 700+ before it comes time to apply to colleges.

You are golden. When I was a rising junior, I scored a 580 on CR on the first practice test I took. With a TON of reading of newspapers like Wall Street Journal and NYT and by memorizing Direct Hits vocab, you can be on your way to a high 700!

I got an 800 I got a detailed score report back, and although I missed two reading comp questions, I got all the sentence completion questions right because of direct hits!

Direct Hits: there are two volumes of these magnificent books. Each volume has a separate list of 200 words. The fourth edition is the newest edition http://www.amazon.com/Direct-Hits-Co..._bxgy_b_text_b and volume 2: http://www.amazon.com/Direct-Hits-To..._bxgy_b_text_b

Extremely helpful for vocab. I only got the words, but I'm pretty sure example sentences come with the words. Like, "opulent" may be a word. Sentence? Michelle Obama's parents must have been opulent because they sent her to Princeton.
