how to improve my SAT score ?

I am entering grade 12 in three months andall i got is 1180 after trying three times i know a complete failure i need at least 1600 to enter the college i want in my home country can anyone plz help me to get my score higher

Practice makes perfect! Try the Blue Book from the College board (the people who make the tests). It has 10 practice tests to help you prepare for the actual one. Barron's books are also rated high from those who've bought it, but I don't know personally since I'm too lazy to look through it. :P Good luck!

Princeton review is pretty good too. Also read silverturtle's guide, which is located in the sticky thread in this forum. Use Direct Hits to learn important vocab. Like jsk4ever said, practice is extremely important.

Your profile says that you are from Egypt. Can you speak English well?

A good SAT breakdown score would be:

Math: about 650
CR: about 550
Writing: about 570

Math:
Do lots of math problems.
Search AMC Problems on Google. You should see AMC 8: let me know if you can't find it.
Practice with the AMC 8 tests and review by looking at the solutions.
Do it under time limit.
PM me for more info on math if you still have trouble.

CR:
Memorize some vocabulary. Do this by looking over the CR sections on an SAT test and writing down the vocabulary.
There's advice in this forum. "How to attack the Critical Reading section effectively" or something like that.

Writing:
STUDY GRAMMAR. So important.
Practice writing essays and get a good english teacher to grade it for you if possible.
