How to bring up my score before oct?

Hey- i want to apply to many good schools and I am starting my essays and everything- and im trying to keep hope that i will get in! But i only have a 1710 on my SATs. I have been practicing - but im losing my mind because my reading score is still same around 550s. Im trying to study vocab and grammar is okay. For math i make silly mistake. I m using many books as possible such McGraw Hill, Bb, Princeton Review, and i also took classes. what do i do?

Before my strategy was writing margin answers next to each question- NOW IM ON THE SAME PAGE WITH BOTH OF THEM- I JUST KEEP GETTING THEM WRONG- and i been doing sat practice too!
