@maxyend why do you think so?i choose 'they saw' but i don't khow.google for 'as for' usage it says as for = with regard to.so how's that?

@talatahehe, I'm really not sure anymore, I think it was because "as for bla, bla and bla, history was" works, whereas "as for bla, bla and bla, they saw" doesn't work.

the first one is Didnt leave since the sentence goes like this 'people didnt leave... until ....'
have left, if put, would be awkward and does not fit with tense.

as for 29, I think hint at is right because I check that in the oxford. But on the test, i was not sure so I omitted it.
