I'm not even sure if I'll take it at that point. Maybe just for practice; and it'll give me 2 chances at getting a good writing score; but I won't be prepared for math.
Also, since only a few people will be taking it, and most of them will probably be good-work-ethic students as they are taking it on a rescheduled date, the curve will be harsh.
When I get home on Wednesday I'm going to write out a concrete day-to-day work plan. I've also decided to get my math tutor back for like 4 sessions before the SAT. Doing my work, along with the work the tutor assigns me, and the tutoring sessions, hopefully I can get my 700 in math. I won't try to bury myself in work though, as once I fall behind I'll end up giving up. What's your plan?

I really wasted today and this weekend away...
Um, my plan consists of finally opening my CR prep book, working harder and smarter in Math, and improving my writing. No actual day-to-day schedule because it would really all depend on how I'm progressing through each day. I've considered calling up a tutor that I was told about. Definitely finished with Princeton though. The problem with getting a new tutor for me is having to start from nothing and be at something by the Dec. date and that is not too far away.
Did you say that you were going to take the SAT II? I don't remember...

Definitely not taking the SATII. If I were to take it, I'd probably take the literature exam; and I'm awful at understanding poems.
I've wasted the last week. Don't linger on the past.
As for tutors, it's nothing like taking a review course. You just do questions, and they show you tricks and methods to do the question easier or faster. They don't just stand there and teach everything; they cater to your exact weaknesses. I find a single hour isn't enough to learn much though, and they are expensive.

I haven't taken the SAT yet, it will be my first time on January. I am getting Barron's Math level 2 to cover for the math section and the SAT II,the Official SAT study guide for practice tests and perhaps the direct hits for vocabulary. Since Rocket Review is just pricey, I hope to get the Barron's Critical Reading book instead. A'm I doing it right or are you suggesting something instead of this?
Add:I read reviews about the Barron's Critical Reading Book being not worth it, and rather, suggesting the Barron's SAT book instead. I've also read that Kaplan is good for CR? I'm confused now which to get.
I also found a Kaplan 12 practice test, it sounds good to me, but I am thinking that the official SAT book would suffice, plus, it would be more accurate.
Thoughts on all of these?

You should take a practice test and get an estimate.
The books online are like $10 each, so it can't hurt to buy a bunch. That's what I did. The 12 practice tests by Kaplan are made-up, and not by CB, so you should only use those as a last resort.

I was hoping to buy the 2013 direct hits 5th edition but my amazon lacks like .70cents , my last resort would be the direct hits 4th edition. Do you have any idea if they would have much much different content?

I'll be in the blue book everyday for the rest of the month. I'm also going to memorize all of direct hits. For writing, I'm going to look at more grammar rules that appear on the test. Math will be difficult for me to raise but I'm going to review geometry since that is my main problem.

@acousticsound,
Geometry is my problem too! That, and I don't remember a lot of formulas and stuff. I've been done with that kind of math for a while now...

I might take the SAT II. Just depends, but if I do, it'll be the Literature (possibly), Physics, and Math I in January.
HS and my CC class is starting to get in my way of studying..

@Marie, math isn't my strong point in general but geometry, yuck. And do you think it's possible to go from a 1780, into the 1900's in under a month? Thats my goal

@acousticsound, definitely possible.
@Marie, I've decided that the SAT takes priority for the next month... so if I don't do my homework for a while... it's all good.
I think math in general is my problem. I'm just god awful at it. It's like rocket science.

@acousticsound,
Yeah, that is feasible, just like Reckie said!
@Reckie,
I used to be so good at math when I was little! Well, then it used to be so easy I guess lol.
@Billy17,
Totally! You're welcomed to the thread!

So, December will be my last chance to get a decent score on the SAT.
I took the test this October for the first time. I got 1480 overall
(CR-430;M-580;W-470 - Probably, I am the dumbest person you've ever known(from now on) on CC, right?)
Funny thing is that I am aiming for 1900 this time. At least 420 points improvement, huh?
Maybe, it's impossible. Anyway, I am gonna give it a try.
After the Oct test, I bought these books.
The Ultimate Guide to SAT Grammar
PWN the SAT
The Official SAT Study Guide with DVD
McGraw Hill's SAT 2012
Direct Hits v.1,2
How to write a killer SAT Essay.
What do you guys think about these books? Are they enough for me to get at least 1800? Is there any other book would you recommend for me? Especially for CR, which is my biggest problem. Anyway, I'll stick with this thread, with you all, until the Dec. So keep posting what have done for the test.

@Billy,
Nah, don't say that! No one is dumbbb! (Unless you compare yourself to others on CC, lol. jk.) Plus, with your October score, there is a bunch of room for improvement that is realistic! I own two of the books that you have listed. (BB and PWN the SAT) Just so you know, buying a bunch of prep books won't raise your score. Understanding the information, improving on your weaknesses, and knowing the "tricks/shortcuts" is what will raise your score. Don't just go over the information, you need to understand it and use it.
I'll have to wait until I'm out of my Bio lecture before I can study today..
24 More days.
