I took the PSATs this Octuber for the first time and got a 166. Just took the May SATs for the first time and got a 1900. I'm hoping to break 2000 when I take it again in my senior year.

I had a massive improvement. I feel so proud.
1st 2nd
CR: 690 ---> 770
M: 560 ---> 640
W: 670 ---> 730

1250/1920 ---> 1410/2140

It goes to show that you can do much better with practice and just taking the SAT a second time. = ] I wish everyone the best of luck.

I know. I was really mad because I wasted a Saturday morning for nothing. I'm not even sure why exactly I retook it... I'm very, very happy with my score (and with my new SAT score as well)!

wow

last october i took the test (2007) and got 2030

i took it again in jan, preparing CR and writing MCQ & essay with a teacher

and got 2250

then i retook it this may and got a 2370!

trust me
if u keep going at it with CR and writing MCQ (ESPECIALLY the diction stuff),
you get a feel for it, and well..you get there eventually.

jumpngo: I prepped a decent amount and took as many past real tests as I could. I would say that my first score wasn't actually a good indicator of my ability back then because I got really nervous for the test. But still, taking tons of practice math sections helped me a ton...I got used to all the problems and it just came so easily.

voodoo, I'm right where your at. My freshman & sophomore PSAT's were
1400< but < 1600; My junior PSAT was in the 1600s, and my MAY sat was 1900. I just want to get 700s in everything... Seeing a 6 in the hundreds place is so =[.
