My daughter's designer SAT prep course gave her a list of actual real live people at her school who went up 180-500 points after last year's course. There were ten of them. But they counted PSAT to SAT improvement as well.

I improved 310 points from seventh grade to eighth grade! And NO, before you ask, it was for a summer program. That I ended up not going to, anyway >.< I didn't really study, it's just that when you're younger your brain grows a lot! Even if you really don't notice. 1910 --> 2220.
Grr, I read that over, and now it feels like I'm bragging. Even tho that's not how I felt when I typed it at all; but whatever, this is kind of a brag thread anyway.
I don't think being sick hurts! I was happy and healthy the first time, and super sick the second time. I think being sick helps you focus, because you just want to get it over with.
The most annoying thing is when the girl across from you starts CRYING. You feel bad for her, but you also just want to SHUT HER UP.

My friend went from a 24 on the ACT to a 32. I don't know of any major SAT score increases.

196 PSAT to 2250. I'm still disappointed that I didn't break 2300, which I would easily have if I had written a better essay :/
