Essay Grading.

I'm not sure if this HAS been asked alot, but in one of my essays that my school did for College Board ( Idk what it was for, but it was some sort of CB thing), I accidentally put that Lincoln was born in Virginia, while he was really born in Kentucky.
Do they take alot off for stuff like that?

sooo, could one just totally make up history facts to include in the essay? orrr imagine some fictitious character to quote?
would this be taken as stupidity, or creativity?
perhaps if these facts were witty in some way?

well they dont officially take off points for any incorrect information on the sat.

but i dont think that an essay with a lot of incorrect information would be a strong essay.

this isn't an AP history exam, this is a writing test to test how well you structure and cohesively present an argument. so no it shouldn't count against you.
