I'm basically going to revise some vocab, root words, and essay examples.

mitigate v. to make less severe or painful.

MITIGATE sounds like 'Matey! GATE!'... as in 'Matey open the gate'... as in 'friendly'... picture a World War II guy announcing his victory... so the battle has ended, and things have become less *grave*.

Again, this is a long shot.
But meh.

lol I think we'd better give an example for each because I can barely memorize all vocabs just by staring at it. I need something to visualize.
