| I put stingy too because the word, I think, was supposed to have some negative connotation.. everything else was like neutral.. average, dull, common... |

| ^ Same!
It was a vocab-in-context question... What does the word 'mean' mean... (well not like that... but you know what I mean)... okay, choice:
1. Base.
2. Dull.
3. Average.
4. (Something ... definitely not the answer)
5. Stingy
I immediately eliminated 2, 3, and 4... (The sentence was something along the lines of... "sublime landscapes are powerful and mean, but we still admire them... blah blah'
Base didn't make any sense to me.
Edit: Okay, stingy is wrong... base is right. Stingy refers to a 'miser'... =/
Base works better. |

| @elsaphant - Mean -> Average means the Mathematical Average, not the plain/common -> average. |

| i put stingy because it was opposite of the words in the next sentence-- i saw it as comparing mean to nice, so what is "mean" in this situation
and the area one: there was one that listed all the countries, and another that listed the *area of all the countries, which i really think is the correct one.
crap i didn't put a literary reference in essay, but i did do 2 historical refs. it actually was an enjoyable topic
the only math one i had trouble on was the one with all those circles, and i'm not sure why it was hard for me at the time... |
