ooh, i guess it is base then. the math one with the circles wasn't that bad..you just subtract the area of the big circle from the area of the circle that was second to smallest.

Well, lets do it now ;P. It was 30 students, some took both, some took italian, some took german. 2 times those who took italian took german. (I don't remember what you had to answer was, I think you had to add something together?)

Edit, see below, I'm probably wrong.

I think the number of students who took german was 3 more than the number that took italian.

Also, I have a question about the distance one, it seemed so easy, but I got 17 miles, and that wasn't one of the choices :|

Okay, I made a venn diagram...

It said Total students = 30.
German and Italian and both, right.
No. of people who took Italian were the same no. of people who took both subjects.
And people who took one subject were 3 more than the people who took the other one.

Then I plugged in numbers...
If 9 people took Italian, then 9 people took both German and Italian, So people who took German was 18+3 = 21. And 21+9=30.

I don't know if that makes any sense... but I'm hoping 9 is right.

Stingy fits. It means something barren. And we were told that the sublime landscape is vast and repetitious like the ocean (that was the answer to one of the other questions)

And yes, this text was easy. If you think this is hard, you should check out the latest Dec test. The CR text were so hard it was illegal!

yeah i think it was german = italian +3.

the number of students taking only german or italian had to equal the # of students taking both.

a total of 21 ppl taking italian and 24 people taking german
total of 15 people taken both so
21-15 =6

llol, ur vast and repetitious landscape is actually quite "barren" -- which means lifeless
