Sending in SAT scores too early?!

Hi!
I took the SAT on May the 3th, but I have a little problem.
I'm planning on going to college in 2009, so I'll be applying in in november this year. But CollegeBoard is set to send my scores to the colleges of my choice..
These colleges don't even know me yet, so what should I do?
Is it better to send my scores later, or will the colleges keep my scores in their systems? I'm so confused so I hope someone can help me out!

Regards, Steven

I chose not to send any reports right now. The thing is, you get free reports now. You do not get free reports later. If you plan on taking any more collegeboard things, like sat 1 or 2, then wait. Send your next reports, if you think they are final. You always run the risk of the unknown score, though. I am just waiting until the fall when I will pay the 10 bucks to send it to each of my schools (I am at 20 right now, so I am looking at 200), and do it that way.

My understanding is that colleges will take the scores and put them on file until your application makes its way to them.
