it's funny because I'm pretty sure i got 760+ on the math section, and one of the only questions i was having trouble with (or doubts on) is the one where you have the squiggly graph with 4 x intercepts!

It asks you "if the graph was reflected over the X-axis, how many intercepts would it have?"

Well, if it had 4 to start off with, it would still have 4 if reflected over the X axis yes?

And someone refresh my mind on the question where the slope was (5/4) (can't remember the question) and where the perimeter supposedly equals 24 (can't remember that one either). Picture maybe?

^ Here's the 24 one... (it asked for the perimeter of the whole shape... so 3*8=24.) Do NOT comment on my MS Paint skills.

The other slope problem had to do with coordinate geometry... and I don't remember the EXACT numbers. Sorry.

^ YEP!! They made a whole thread about it:
http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/1304/52487568uj4.jpg

Okay, so you have to find the area of circle B - circle C.
(Completely forget circle A... it's there to confuse you).

Consider Circle B.
Radius: 2.5 units.
So, Area: (2.5)²∏ = 6.25∏ or 25/4∏

Consider Circle C.
Radius: 2 units.
So, Area: (2)²∏ = 4∏

Now subtract C from B.
25/4∏ - 4∏
= 2.25∏ or 9/4∏.

Makes sense?
(Sorry for the ellipses instead of the circles... )

As for the 5/4, it had this variable 't' in it... and there was... OH I remember it.

^ I think that's what it was... but I might have manipulated the variables/numbers here and there. But basically that's what it was...
