Essay Prep

Hey Im taking the SAT in june.

Anyone know the best one-month prep I can do to earn a great score on my essay?

Go through all the books you've read and compile a list of themes, then when it's SAT time, pick the ones that match the topic and refer back to those books. It's especially helpful if you refer to books you studied in class because you might have notes to go along with them.

Yeah I can get ideas and examples fairly well. Its just the actual writing and articulating my ideas that I feel I need practice with. Anyone else?

Chatting on collegeconfidential.com won't get you far when it comes to writing the SAT essay. You would do much better to practice, practice, practice. Many skilled writers do poorly on standardized test essays because they aren't used to the time restriction or to having to write the essay by hand. Work on your transitions and make sure you do an excellent job supporting your thesis by citing detailed examples. Good luck!
