The Official WAITING FOR MAY 2008 SAT SCORES Thread

What is it now, almost only 15 days?!

Woot. Can't wait - last time I'm taking them, I think I did amazingly, even with that weird CR.

How are you guys feeling?

I'm feeling quite anxious... what was your aim?? (Realistic aim... not like 2400... unless you're a gee... wait. You are. Aiming for a perfect?)

Was this your first time?

Man.. that CR.. I got a 690 in March and, for May, I know it's going to come real close for this SAT too.. It will suck if I end up with 690 again.. one question off from a 700.. pain in the a55..

JOE! We're in the same lorry! (I got tired of the 'we're in the same boat' phrase)...

I got a 690 in March too.
And I think I did worse this time... going to get like a 650, I think.
(Worst Case, though).
I think I improved on Math... and DEFINITELY on Writing. (Hoping to get an 800 on that... or at least a 750!) ^_^
I don't know what happened last time. Got a 640! O_o Think I got overconfident.

Lol. Nahhh not perfect.

This is actually my third time.

Took it as freshman last year, then October '07, and now May '08.

I actually am expecting....

720-760ish Writing (8-10 Essay)
800 Math (unless I effed something up bubbling wise)
780-800 CR (depending on curve really for low score, dunno how many I missed)

so like 2300-2360 about

Yeah, I am hoping I at least improve on the math section.. I know I did much better with the writing section on May than March.. so that's good I guess..

^ Humbug! You pwn3d CR!
Heck, you pwn3d all of 'em.

Good job!

Just out of curiosity, what was your initial score?
Did you study a lot? Or did you receive a couple of revelations from the sky?

As a freshman?

decentish - 660W, 720M, 680CR, 7 Essay

Last time I only missed two on the writing but horrible essay

700W, 780M, 740CR, 6 Essay

I really expect a much better essay this time.

Actually, I only studied for writing this time, Crit just seems to be semi-logical instinct for a lot of them, and it looks like I was right for all cept maybe one. Math is my thing, though October had a weird geometry one that I just couldn't figure out in the time.

^ Holy crap! A 1400 CS in Freshman year?
I don't like you at all. Not at all.

>_<

Critical Reading gives me the most problem... because being the open minded person I am, I tend to think the questions are too equivocal, and this causes a lot of confusion. Sigh.
Well, kudos to you.

Lol, thanks. Critical reading has mostly been luck, honestly.

This time I actually had to like turn the book upside-down, slide my chair backwards, and lie my head on the desk just to keep myself from rechecking and possibly changing answers (although I was glad that I fixed that paucity one )

Freshman here.... got a 194 on PSAT without studying, shows that I need improvement so I hang out around here in hopes of absorbing knowledge. I'm putting off serious study for this summer, so I have no need to be nervous .

I wouldn't worry so much about CR - I feel there's going to be a nice curve for this one (as in -2 or even 3 = 800). Besides, if its even close to what I think, it'll probably be -7 or 8 for 700. You guys should be fine.

Just be glad you're not like some of these people who take it 588549353205 times just to get a perfect score. All I'm saying is, I'm done with it, regardless of what happens - three times is enough

oh gosh... subject tests....
