SAT- 2 times or 3 times?

I have already taken the SAT once, got a 2000 (670 Math/CR 660 Writing).
I am really shooting for AT LEAST a 2100--hopefully higher and closer to 2200. I bought the Gruber's Guide and the Barron's 2400. I was going to do the Grubers complete guide first then the 2400 to fine tune me.

I was planning on taking it again in March, and then taking subject tests in May and June to coincide with AP tests, but then i thought about taking it early senior year as i would have more time to study.
Should i take the SAT again in March as trial # 2 ? Or should i wait until early next year? Or should i just take it both times making it 3 total trials?
Is 3 times too many?
Thanks for any help you can offer!

When you take it depends on how comfortable you are to take it again. Only you can answer that question.

3 times isn't too much.

3 times is perfect, 4 isn't bad either (but who would want to take that test 4 times)

Why not put off the SAT till early next school year and take Subject Tests in June? I made the mistake of doing it the other way around, and by November--when I took the Subject Tests--I forgot much of the history I learned in APUSH and got a 750 rather than something closer to 800.

Plus, you'll have to go through two whole books in roughly two months while completing your schoolwork and participating in ECs. Good luck, whatever you do.
