A score isn't something you need. It estimate how ready you are for 1rst year college. If you aren't any more prepared than last time you aren't going to get a higher score. Practice or take the ACT to see which test is your strength.

I doubt you'll go that high in a month. I've been studying for 2 months w/ a 2100 start & I'm only hoping for a 2200+

it will take you practice and a miracle.

from my experience -

the practice: basically, i took a course and we did practice tests each week for 5 weeks. i got (in this order) 2070, 2010, 2130, 2170, 2170

the miracle: the week after my last practice exam, i got a 2330, which is a 160 point increase

good luck

I am going through a similar situation. I took SAT in sophmore year and its my senior year now and I have a month to prepare for SAT in dec. I got 1980 first time, and I definetely have gotten a lot smarter but have not been prepping. I want a 2150-2200. First I need to memorize some words. Try to do this during before you go to bed every night, and when you wake up while you eat breakfast or something.

Learn the structure of the test itself. Memroize your examples for the essay and learn the structure of the essay.

For the other grammer questions, I got 25/25 on the improvign sentences, so no need to practice that. Those are the easiest. I nee to improve on the selecting the error, so you should use Sparknotes or Princeton Review to learn the grammer rules.

Then for the math section, you should learn strategies such as plugging in and makign up numbers and estimating. I find it helpful it learn these before trying a few practice questions.

Lastly, you should definetely practice. I don't really like to take a full test yet. I like to go through it section by section. After a few days of this, soon I will begin taking real tests. YOu must review. Even the questions you got wrong. This is the most crucial part.

Good luck to myself and to you

It's not impossible. I went from a 1800 to a 2110 in 2 months. Take as many REAL collegeboard tests as you can - online course, blue book, released Q&A's, newspaper booklets, etc...

Do them over and over again. redo and redo. Get to know the test. Once you do so many of them, you'll realize there are "types" of questions. Grab Direct Hits or some kind of SAT vocab book and read it WHENEVER you can. Do whatever it takes - even if it means reading your SAT vocab during lunch.....use weekends/breaks to devote your entire day to studying. There is no way around it. Don't try to focus on your "weak areas" - just do the entire test over and over again until you're friends with it.

haha no i meant to do different tests, but from the same source - don't switch around between, say, PR and Barron's - stick with CB and the real thing. Sorry for the confusion.

Sigh. I really have trouble concentrating. Im gona get off the computer and study SAT. GET PUMPED!!@@#@#$@# WHOOOO!@!!!!!!!
2200 BABy!!!! LET'S GO!!@@@@. YOU CAN DO IT.
I just thought of this:
SAT IS 20 percent pleasure, 50 percent pain, and 100 percent reason to go to the college.
collegekid he doesn't want his name up in lights, he just wants to do well wheter it's the practice or the real. he feels so unlike everybody else alone in spite of the fact that some ppl still think tha tthey know but f him he knows the words its not about the memory its all about the comprehension making some noise making sure his clicks stay up that means when you puts it down tuck's picking it up.

ok im goign to study now. goodbye

i would say it is a lot harder to increase one's test score in the SAT than in the ACT. I remember my ACT score jumping from a 28 to a 33, my SAT went from a 1800 to a 1860 o.o;;;
