Please help me raise my Score. [Score report Attached]

I got 1800 in my SAT with a 7 in my essay score. I feel my essay is underscored. I want somebody to go through it and let me know how else I can make my essay better.

I further wish to increase my 660 Math score to 700+; my CR to 650+ and writing MC to near 70, please help me figure out my weaknesses.

Go to your scores and click Prt. Scr., c/p into Paint, and save. Then go to ImageShack® - Image Hosting or Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket, host it, and just post a link to your scores.

If anything, just type it out here. Listen to HighlandMom as well - don't post info like that so freely on the web.

I've gone through the whole document, there is no confidential data. I do not feel my full name as confidential cuz right in this forum my name is Bharadwaj Yellapragada. But still if you feel it is waste downloading file please let me know so that I will host the screen shots of my essay and score report.

Why didn't you print your essay?The instructions clearly mention so.Your cursive handwriting which wasn't very legible could have been the reason for your 7.I couldn't read much...

@smartchap: I've actually heard that cursive handwriting gets you a higher score, maybe thats why he did that?

^Well you heard wrong. There is nothing about the style of handwriting that factors into the rubric of essay scoring. You are quite mistaken. SUCKER!!! lol

The whole point is that the grader should be able to read the essay.Remember that the person reading your essay is not familiar with your handwriting.

^you are incorrect. If they couldn't read his handwriting, they would have given him a 0. The fact that he got a 7 has to do with the content of the essay and nothing with the handwriting. While he could have written more legibly, I was still able to read it. Print/cursive doesn't matter.

I'm going to keep the suggestions short:

Math-Get Grubers. Do all the problems. Do lots of practice tests and analyze mistakes.
Reading- Get Direct Hits. Memorize the vocab. Do lots of practice tests and analyze mistakes.
Writing- Look at RR's Writing techniques for grammar and the essay. Do lots of practice tests and analyze mistakes.

Your score should skyrocket. I thought your essay was well written (better than my SAT essay and I got an 11) if it was a normal essay but the SAT has different guidelines for grading. Therefore look at RR. You are practically guaranteed a 10+ essay if you follow RR's advice.
