I have the Barrons and Princeton review books for the SAT II Bio, and I was wondering how similar their practice test questions are to the real CB bio questions. I'm gonna be taking the SAT Bio test on the upcoming October 6, 2012 test date, since I missed the June test date deadline. I already took AP Bio as a sophomore and my AP bio results came in yesterday and I got a 5. I'm going to be a junior in the fall. But I still want to review all the information again before taking the SAT, since I have issues with just winging tests haha..even if I feel like I know it all.

Are the Barrons and princeton books enough? should I also review my AP book info also? But I feel like the information isn't too different. I feel like my Barrons AP bio book is actually more in-depth than the SAT review books.

Sorry to invade your thread, but I haven't taken AP Bio yet and I'll be taking the Bio SAT in October, too. I was wondering whether you think the Barron's or Princeton Review book would be better for someone who doesn't have a lot of Biology knowledge and is relearning pretty much everything? Thanks...! I personally like the Barrons a lot. I used it for my AP review. It's really covers a lot and is a little more detailed, which is why some people prefer the Princeton. But my friend used the Princeton review for the AP bio test and she told me that the whole Animal Phylums section had wrong information. Barrons is a great choice.

As far as your question, I've heard the test is really easy. The questions on College Board's website for it certainly are. My friend got an 800 on it and I keep freaking out to her about how I'm going to fail, but she says I'll do fine even though I've only taken an Honors Bio class. You should be golden with your 5 on the AP Exam. Good luck! (:

Your friend got an 800? wow haha..that's like in the 99th percentile. my friend took the SAT Bio test in June and got a 800 also. Most people said the June test was pretty difficult though. I guess it varies by test dates.

You can also try referring to multiple prep books..some people do that too. Just don't go overboard. I have my AP bio chapter notes that come with the textbook we used. I still read them when I find time. I love bio so I dont mind. Let me know if you want them, I can send them to you.

Yeah, I went with Barron's and got an 800 on the June test too. The June one was hard, but it had a really nice curve. 3 wrong was still an 800. I think the Barron's one is detailed, but some of these random details appear on the SAT sometimes. It's also great for review. Also, read through some of the prior discussions about the bio SAT for the past few years on CC b/c the June test was an exact repeat of the 2010 June one. Collegeboard's getting lazy .-.;

@ Nivers1027 Could you send me those AP Bio chapter notes please? Thanks so much! I love Bio, too, and I know there is just SO much information that I don't know! My friend's 800 was over a year ago, so maybe her test wasn't as hard at the June one. But she's super smart, so who knows, haha.

@ Aquawater98 Thanks for the tip about repeated tests... Very helpful... Haha, if we're lucky, they'll do the same with October.
