I took the May one too, but I got stuck wasting time in the questions that take so much work and didn't answer the last 7. So I think I did better on this one since I finished, but I don't really know by how much. I'm hoping for the same results as you.

I think the answer's 21

452-17 is 435, so n divides 435. Just tried some prime numbers above 17 and 29 was the first that worked; 50/29 gives a remainder of 21.

Does anyone remember the question that said something about x varying directly (or something else, don't remember) to y and y varying directly to z; was the answer I and III?

Was that one toward the end of the test? If so, I think I left that blank too.

Was number 30-something.

I was hoping to get an 800 but this test was a lot harder than I expected... left 4 blank and already have 2 wrong so if I get one more wrong I'll be at a 780 or 790.

I think I was just something about x varying directly with y (but then the condition in the problem wouldn't be that... so I'm not exactly sure).

Got the z-score one wrong, also the one where they gave a function and asked to find the biggest positive difference between the roots. I missed a negative sign in my calculator.. lol.

i think the z-score one was halves cause the mean doubles and standard deviation stays the same so denominator is same and numerator is half

@yanks270
I got x^5-x^3+x=0, too, for the one where there would be the same solutions if x were replaced by -x, but I think that was (A), not (B)

I'm pretty sure that the z-score answer is that it stays the same, because z-score has (score-mean) in numerator and st. deviation in denominator. Since the scores doubled, so will the mean and st. deviation, so BOTH numerator and denominator are double what they were.

Can you remember the rest of the details to the question you got $550 as the answer? I think I got something else ($656 maybe?) and I want to try it again. The 15% of 600, $100 four times all seem familiar, but there's something missing.

@jjfine96:
I got 1.4 for the difference between zeros. Do you still have the function stored in your calculator? I want to check my answer.

@docseven:
The 52.5 you remember was the answer to the speed question. That's what I got, too.

And the f<0 was the answer to the question that said f and |f| had no points in common.

I don't remember the question with answer pn is even. Can you remind me what the question asked?

Some other answers I got--can anyone confirm these?

3/20 for the probability question

{-1, 1/2, 2} for range

I also remember that there was an easy question about MIDPOINT and an easy question about a CYLINDER, but I don't remember the answers. I could probably tell if I got the same answers, if people tell me what they got.

i think the pn question said that p and n are integers and p is even so which of the following answer choices are true. and i got pn is even

and i also got 3/20 and {-1, 1/2, 2}

for the midpoint question im pretty sure i put something like (1.5, 5.5) and i dont remember the cylinder question

Hey guys,

So did anyone else get x^5-x^3+x=0 for the one where x is replaced with -x? I mean, I thought that if all of the exponents of x is even then that would be the answer but none of the choices had that. So was that the answer?

Also, do you guys remember a question about bees swarming? Something about it starts with 1 square mile and then doubles each year. How many years does it take to get to 100,000? The highest answer choice was 11 point something years??? But that can't be right...

Finally, is the midpoint problem you guys are talking about solved by finding the midpoint of the two points and then the midpoint AGAIN between the midpoint and one of the ends? So its essentially 1/4th of the segment.
