I couldn't understand that passage. I though he was putting something on in the first sentence and I answered that he was in his room

oh really? lol I didn't understand so I can't be much help. however, I did first put that he was in his room, but when I went to the other questions, nothign supported him goign to his room. So I thought that he was tryign to steal something. Lights coming from out the door...him using somethign to push out the key...i don't know, a thief seems more likely to me but don't trust me on this 100%

I had given up on reading the passage, so I made up a story in my head and it involved him putting his pants on when he saw a light under his door and he was trying to lock himself in for protection....yeah-it didn't make sense...
Can someone explain that last passage that involved involved the snake?
Oh and can someone give me a breakdown on how the scores are curved overall?

Oh my....I didn't understand the "rosseu" (?) word in the snake passage, so I thought the child was actually scared of the snake as it approached. Ah, so I got that "how did the child show he's brave" question wrong.......

blueflame: i dont remember that question particularly but the boy showed he's brave by actually letting the snake eat the "rosseu" all the way to his fingers

I found it pretty easy and skipped only a question, the one asking where was the boy who took the key.

The passage about the key I thought he was trying to escape from the room or something. I simply did not get it.

omg that snake passage really confused me. From the vocabs, I made up the story that the boy didnt want to play with his father so his mom got him to play with snakes and that he had more fun with the snakes than with his dad.

I didn't take the French test today, but I think the story with the snake was taken from a book I read for my French class last year. It was called L'Enfant Noir by Camara Laye. The part with the snake was the most interesting part of the book, and it happens at the very beginning, unfortunately.

rockermrc,
are you sure it's an exerpt from L'Enfant Noir? We "sorta" studied that last year in French class by reading exerpts from it and watching the movie. I definitely don't remember seeing whatever I read on last sat's test in the movie, though....
