Would a good Math II score counter poor SAT I math score?

I got a 660 on the math section of the SAT which was really disappointing. I took the SAT II last year and did really really really bad (570 haha) because I got about halfway through it-- if I do well when I retake it on Saturday will colleges (namely Tufts) disregard the icky grades?

770 MII from November. I hope that helps =( Colleges probably won't look at the 570...right? I was going to cancel that score because I was sick and of course I knew I did extremely poorly because I didn't finish. I decided not to because I was expecting an ok chemistry grade (690...eh. should have canceled).

I'm taking ACTs next weekend so hopefully that score just DOMINATES my application.

Me too. My SAT I math score was 640. I'm hoping to score in the 700s on the math II test from yesterday. x_x

It definitely helps if you can show that you really are competent in that subject by doing well in a subject test because colleges might question your math abilities and then realize that you did well on another test. Yet, colleges will also look at both your SAT1 score and your SAT2 score seperately. As far as a lower math 2 score and then a higher math2 score, they should only look at your highest, but they will see both.
