I'm planning to take both chem and US history in may. Would it look bad if i didn't do as well as I liked as retook in June for both?

If colleges see a long list of repeated SAT II scores, is that a turn off?

Not to avoid your question .. but if you feel you did poorly in may you can cancel your scores (Only problem is you must cancel both or neither). I think if you score poorly and retake it you're showing colleges that you care, and as long as you don't retake like every single thing you're fine ...... but that's just imo.

i am not sure. my friend got a 800 on math2 and someone paid him 20 bucks to take it again. he ended up taking it for a total of 5 times, all 800s.

Look at Harvard's and Princeton's viewbooks to find out that you can expect colleges to consider your best scores. I've also heard your question answered in person by a Harvard admission information session on the Harvard campus. Harvard doesn't care if you take the test more than once, so why should you worry about this?

wow are you guys stupid? i never lied. this is a TRUE story. the very first time he got a 800 on math2c. just for fun, his math tutor challenged him to take it again and said he would pay 20 dollars on TOP OF of paying for his test. he repeated this for a total of 5 times. screw you guys. i never lied about anything

You're story is just, well, stupid. Why would anyone bother taking the same test five times? And who has that much time on their hands anyway. (considering that you can't take SAT I if you're taking SAT IIs, and a teenager should be getting ready for college anyway) But if you say it's true, I believe it. I just feel a little sorry for your friend and all the business he generated for the Collegeboard.

actually you should give credit to his math tutor for the money he generated for collegeboard. he took it at the end of soph year and continued taking it throughout jr year if you wanted to know how he had time to do it.

not really. get paid 20 bucks just to take an easy one hour test? i dont find it stupid that he took the advantage of getting paid 20 bucks when you consider the fact that most high schoolers who work make minimum wage.
