Urgent! Equations that you NEED to know for SAT II Physics!

Can someone please list all of the equations that we NEED to know???

Time to pull out my self-made flashcards.

I would say:

Kinematics (the big four/five): Vf = Vi + at, etc
KNOW the graphs of motion
Momemtum = mv, impulse is change in momentum (but not over time!!)
Work = Fd
V = IR
F = ma
Fg = Gm1m2/r^2
Fe = Kq1q2/r^2 = qE
Fb = qvB
Fc = mv^2/r
V = Ed or qW, Work = qV, Power is IV
C = q/v for capacitance
v = wavelength times frequency for waves
q = smt (heat)

Are the essentials. Good luck!

What do the following equations mean?
Fc = mv^2/r
C=q/v

Btw.. I'm gonna add some more

m = -Si/So
1/Si + 1/So = 1/F

P = (change)T/V

Yep, I forgot the mirror equations but they are essential.

C=q/v is the capacitance equation. C is also = Ke times A/d

And I'm not sure what formula you're referring to for the last one, P = T/V?
Ohhhh... nvm, that's for a gas right?

I found 345807348759 equations in Modern Physics section; should I just ignore them then? (I know I should memorize the basic relativity/quantum theory formulas though)

Is electromagnetic induction/magnetism significant?

For Modern, know:

Mass/Energy Equivalence: E = mc^2
Relativistic Factor: (1 - v^2/c^2)^1/2
Energy of a photon: E = hf or vh/wavelength
KE for Photoelectric Effect: KE = E - Work Function

Also, since the CB book said Chaos Theory and Superconductivity might be tested, here are the basic points of both:

-Superconductivity: When the conductor has NO resistance and NO interior magnetic field. This often occurs in supercooled metals. This is how you can get a magnet to hover over a current-carrying superconductor.

-Chaos Theory: Basically, the idea of Chaos theory is that it is impossible to make long-term predictions of a system, because it is impossible to make infinitely precise measurements of the system. (In order to make infinitely precise measurements, you'd have to have a measurement machine that had an interface that could display an infinite number of digits). Also, the degree of accuracy of measurements and input used when calculating long-term effects of a system makes no difference to the accuracy of the prediction. Key term - Butterfly effect - the idea that the flap of a butterfly's wings can start the disturbances that build into a tornado.
