What did you guys get for the second question regading the shoulder length compared to the height. I believe the questions was what was the height of a person with shoulder length of 48 cm using the arithmetic mean. I put 191.9 i believe that was (D).

for the imaginary one, was point A the one with the same x value as one imaginary point and the same y value as the other?

Ohh! the other one i omitted was the shoulder/height! thats right... i didnt know how to convert in to cm.

u dont have to convert, everthing is proportional

solve for the average and u get that in w/h
set w/h = the shoulder width(given) / height (unknown)
solve the proportion
give u (IN CM) and the answer u get is also in CM

answer is 191 or something like that

I panicked when I saw cm too, but you don't need to convert because it's a ratio, right? I put 191.9 I think.

Yah I just used the mean which was 0.25. Then solved for x using the equation 48/x = 0.25

Anyone know how to do the problem with f(-1)=1 where there is symmetry or a reflection across the line x=3 then it asked for f(-7).

the answer is negative one

its symmetric to x=3
both x=-1 and x=7 (it asked for f(7) not f(-7)) are 4 units away from this symmetrical line

thus their results should be identical...right?
