I was somehow under the impression that you are able to take both the SAT I and SAT Subject Tests in the same day. I found out today that this was incorrect. -sigh- This will be my first SAT, and I was planning on taking the math I and Us History subject tests along with it, but as I mentioned, I cannot.

I decided to take the sat I instead of the subject tests just so if I fail, I would have more chances to retake it. My question is though, are the SAT subject tests as hard as the AP tests? I'm not worried about Math I/II; I'm worried about US History. I studied really hard for the AP test and think I can pull off a 4/5, but if I have to wait until next October to take the subject test, I will probably forget everything. Do colleges require you to send your sat II scores ALONG with application or can you wait until later to send them.

And just in case I fail with the SAT, do you think a 33 composite ACT is a decent score to send to colleges? I'm a junior by the way.

I hope I made sense. I'm just frustrated at my stupidity.

The SAT II tests are easier than the AP tests, generally speaking. The SAT curve, therefore, is much less forgiving than an AP curve.

A 33 ACT is a pretty strong score. That would be more than decent.

I won't be "penalized" by only providing an ACT score to colleges, will I? I'm hoping to apply to NYU or Columbia as my reaches. I don't know much about the northeast since I'm southern. If need be, I'm almost positive I can raise my ACT score higher since I only took a practice test in preparation.

Yes, raise your ACT score. It never hurts to have a higher score. Ever.
