Help - No Guidance On Satii Tests -

My counselor told me to "wait until November" before taking SATIIs. I am in the throes of AP tests right now. I did very well on my only SATI sitting 770/780/800 and am a good student but really know nothing about the subject tests. Should i start taking them in June? I was going to do Math I, Literature and Spanish - I am currently in AP CALC (taking AP BC tomorrow arghhhhhhhhhh), AP English Literature and Spanish IV (will take AP next year, skipped out of Spanish I as a freshman)
I want to put myself in the best possible position but am clueless as to what to do next - PLEASE HELP ME CC COMMUNITY

You should review your Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-calc and take the Math II instead.

Even if you register those three, you can change your mind on the day of the test and take different ones from what you originally signed up for.

thanks Poseur- is June when those of us who are 09s are getting going with this? November seems mighty late..doesn't it? But these aren't tests that you retake if you don't like your score, right? Sorry to sound so stupid about this, but my GC seems clueless about them - a couple of my classmates took a couple of subjects last weekend, but my school has been really quiet about them.

You can retake SATIIs if you don't like your score...

November is fine if you are applying RD. It is pushing it if you plan on applying EA/ED; some EA/ED colleges will accept November scores, whereas others will not. What about the October test day?

I would say take it in June. Retake in October if necessary. If you haven't signed up for June, do it now. Although you have to pay a late fee.

November was fine for me applying EA. As long as they know you have registered to take the test and you write down that you are, they don't need your exact scores. I mean, they could help you/hurt you, say if you get deferred and they get the scores after decisions, but really find out what your college choices say about it.

Definitely take math II in June, D took I in January and had not taken AP calc yet and got 740, plus the curve on II is much better.

What spanish are you in now? language tests are very hard, especially with listening.

If you are in AP English, take it in June, you are already preparing for AP exam- no reason to wait. Then if there is any test you want to retake you can and I would do Oct, not November.
