I think that I am going to get mine hand scored. Immediately following the test I was confident, and upon checking this site, there were only six questions which I knew I had gotten wrong. Worse case scenario I was expecting a 790. Today I got a 720... What gives? I can't possibly have missed 20 questions, there just is no way...

Butternut, do you find it odd that we had figured ourselves to be -6 or -8 at most, but ended up getting much lower? I'm not trying to sound like an ass here, but I really just cannot see how I got a score that low. According to the general U.S. History curve, I would've had to get around 20 questions wrong to get a 720. I didn't even have 20 questions that I was unsure of when I was checking. I realize that my score is more than likely accurate, but I'm just wondering how it happened...

wow, i did AWFUL-- 640....i actually did better on Math 2 (got a 720 on that) and i suck at math. Believe it or not I'm typically really good at history, its my best subject. I received school awards for highest average in honors us history, AP US Gov't and AP us hist...and i got a 5 on both those AP Exams. It was last May when I had taken the exam but i cannot believe I got a 640?!?!?! This seriously ruins my day. I guess I can just be thankful for ACT though. I'll definitely only be sending my 33 ACT and no SAT stuff. Oh well!

I feel you, schoolsearching, I am in a similar position. I got a 5 on both the AP Government and AP U.S. exams, yet received a 720 on the SAT II. There's something weird about this, most everyone has gotten a sub-par score so far. Again, I went over all the questions that I had trouble on after the test, and found that I'd end up with -8 at most. A 720 with a normal curve is something like -20.

Just for your information since it seems everyone is doing this, I got a 690 and I left like 4-6 blank.

Same thing for me on this test guys. I answered literally every question (though I know I had gotten a few wrong), and only got a 720.
I swear I only missed like 5-6.... and even missing 10 should be like high 700's.

I wonder what is up. I'd appreciate it if more people reported their scores so that we have a more comprehensive understanding of this situation. I can't speak for anyone else, but I was shocked when I saw the 720. I'm certain that I only got 6-8 wrong, which should still be in the 800 range. 20 wrong is just out of the question. Additionally, I know that this small sample cannot be used to gauge the nationwide test scores, but shouldn't the curve be more generous if so many people did poorly? I wish there was some way to get answers.

Yeh i felt "iffy" on maybe 10-15, left 3 blank, and thought i knew the rest. After taking the test, i viewed this forum and found that I got almost all of the "iffy" questions correct..only saw 2 or 3 that i definitely missed..(at least i had the same answer as the general consesnus on here) I logged on this morning expecting a score in the mid 700s while just worrying that my math score wouldnt break 700. I was SHOCKED when i saw a 720 math score but a US History score of 640?!?!...i had to do a double take and make sure my eyes were working right.

The most unfortunate part is that these scores are probably final, and we most likely got an especially hard test or an especially tough curve. Honestly though, I did not find the test hard, and after we went over all the answers here, I was supremely confident. Here's to hoping that the scores are somehow changed in the mail, however unlikely it is.
I'd like to hear from anyone that got an 770/780+.

i also expected a 750+ but i received a 690 and i hope to god that this was a mistake on their hand. There is no way i could have gotten like 20+ wrong.

Is there any way the CollegeBoard could've gotten this one wrong?

I got a 780, and was most confident on this one being my 800. I got most of the iffy ones I remembered right, but am not sure how poorly I did on ones I just answered.

I'm sure these are final, and it's highly disappointing. I just don't understand how I got 20+ wrong when I finished early, checked all my answers, and even then only had 13/14 semi-questionable at most.

What do you guys think, should I retake? I'm probably going to major in political science, and a 720 may end up hurting me. I don't know if I'd get a higher score, though, because I felt very confident that I was going to get an 800 after I took the test.

I really doubt there was some problem with the test...
I got a 750, and that's exactly what I expected.
