Literature - Terminology

What would be considered "basic" terminology and what would be considered "highly specialized" terminology? Would basic be "tone, theme, mood, stanza"...that kind of stuff? Would stuff like "anaphora, synecdoche, chiasmus" be considered highly specialized?

So, stuff like "anaphora, synecdoche", etc won't be on the test, right? :P

I hope not. Synecdoche and Metonymy are soooo closely-related. I was taking a practice test and one of the correct answers was "sardonically contentious" o_0....
