October 2009 SAT II - Math Level 2

Discuss how hard you found the test here. I ran out of time and left 4 questions 49,50, 42 and the sphere/cube one. I found it MUCH harder than the diagnostics I did. I hit 800 sparknotes all tests, and the two official practice tests and like 680 barrons tests. This one I'm hoping for 750 atleast... is that good enough? Anyways gl everyone.

There's still an embargo on specific question discussion, so be careful.

Ugh, skipped some and realized I read the problem wrong afterwards :/. Confirmed I missed at least one, I think I skipped 4. Hope we both get ~750, it's good enough imo

I completely agree with you OP. The test was SO much harder than any diagnostic I've taken, which is not a good sign.

If any of you think you did badly... I'm pretty sure I did worse. I left like 10 blank, even though I consistently got over 700's on diagnostics.

On Spark Notes I got 730, 730, 750, 790

On the test today I left 3 blank and I probably messed up on a few as well (none of them were guesses though). I still think I'm getting an 800, I studied really hard for this....

750 + is acceptable though

Like you guys are saying, the test seemed pretty tough. Has there ever been a -8 curve before?

so lets talk specific questions!
what was the one where it said f(x) and g(x) each have 2 distinct roots. if h(x) = f(x) times g(x), how many roots does h(x) have?
the answers choice were like a. 2 only b. 4 only c. 2,3,4
and the cube sphere one, its s times the square root of 3 divided by 2

I left 6 blank and I'm sure I got a few wrong too. I'm just hoping for 700+.

ya the question was asking for radius of the sphere. since the long diagonal of the cube equals the diameter, the long diameter is s times the square root of 3, then you divide that by 2 to get the radius
