Is December a good time to take SAT II Chemistry? How is the curve?

Can any one advise?

The best time to take the test is when you are ready. "The curve" is what makes it irrelevant which administration you select.

The biggest secret to doing well on the Chemistry SAT -- Know the stuff!!

Do the SAT II Chem and AP Chem test cover roughly the same amount of material?

you have to know all the topics from AP chem, but not nearly in as much detail. the only difference though, is that you can get a 60% on AP and get a 5, but you need to get a majority of the questions on the SAT II chem correct in order to pull off an 800.

as for the curve, it makes no difference. it'll be 10, maybe 20 points, max. like BigIs said, the right time to take it is when you're prepped and ready.

Quite a bit more than 50% right, in fact.
