do colleges usually prefer Math II?

Let's say if I do better on Math I than Math II, (790 on Math I and 710 on Math II). Do they look at the higher one? or just ignore the 790 and look at the 710)

btw,is it okay to take both Math I and Math II?

Yes, they prefer math II.
And yeah, it's okay. However, you just wasted your time.
