I registered for the SAT II 05 Dec test for Physics, Chem, and Math II. I think I'll have about 100 hours total to study for all 3 tests. Can it be done? Should I perhaps cancel one test? Or two?
<_< I've kinda already given the SAT IIs, but I don't remember anything at all. I went through Barrons and it's like starting from the beginning. It probably will be.
Since you have the option of score choice, and have paid for all three tests, just do all of them and see how you do. Unless you're a genius, you of course won't able to get a very good score in 100 hours of preparation.
Okay, so I have an idea. What if I give just 2 tests in December, and prepare for them properly (50 hours each) and I give the third one in January? Most schools require two, and those that require three can get my scores mailed directly to them through the Jan test. Will that work?
I'm actually doing exactly the same thing for Harvard, since it's my only school that requires three subject tests. Check with your schools whether they accept January administration scores; Harvard says it does.
Hours:
Math - 0, that stuff is easy to pull an 800
Chem - 10, not too bad I spent about 2 weeks with a prep book (10-15 hours) and pulled a 780
Not sure about physics but I hear it's really hard so I'd say 30-40 hours is more than enough for all 3... but it isn't about quantity of hours just what you get done!
