SAT II Questions and Advice?

I know this question might have been asked but I really need some closure with it.

So back in June 09 I took the World History SAT II and got a 490. I know a 490 is horrible and I was really upset. I didn't cancel it cause I didn't expect such a low grade.

SO to the question, lets say I take two or one more SAT II's and I want to send them to the colleges. Does collegeboard MAKE you send all three scores? or are you allowed to send only the scores you want and not allow colleges to see what you got on a certain one. I know of Score Choice but I thought that was for SAT II's that you take multiple times.

Since I did bad on that test I was wondering if I should take it again this December? I know its only one month and I haven't taken the course since last year but I feel if I get a good review book and study hard maybe I can get a 600. So advice on taking it a second time?

Another question : Should I take the french SAT II after taking the language for 3 years? Is it really difficult? I heard there's a bad curve since natives could take it :/

First of all, I'm sure you can select what scores you send to the college. When you're registering for the test, select to what colleges/universities you want the scores sent to. You're free to send the scores you want, and keep the others to yourself.

Since you already studied for the test, you already have at least a basic background on the subject. If you have time, definitely retake it. Just concentrate on your weaker areas for this month, and if you study well you'll definitely get a 600. Getting that score isn't really hard either, as there's at least 95 questions on the test, and if you get a raw score of about 45, you'll probably get a 600.

Good luck!

You may want to check out the College Board Web Page.

Send your scores to colleges and scholarship programs
