Math I is designed for students who have not taken pre-calculus yet, and won't have much material on trig and other topics in pre-calculus. Instead, the Math I has Plane Geometry, where Math II does not. All in all, the Math II is much more difficult, but has a curve that allows you make mistakes and still receive a high score.
