is ther a point to take both MATH I and MATH II?

Is there a point to do that? Will they look at both of them or ignore one of them and look at the higher one instead?

NO point. If you take both, I repeatedly hear that, they ignore sat I math and take math II, as it covers all and more of math I.

Yes there is a point of taking them both
if you get 800 on both
your math1c percentile will be 99
while math2c will be around 90%
800 in math1c is far more impressive than 800 in math2c
cus most ppl( of our level) will get 800 in math2c.
