Hey everyone,

So I am at Stony Brook University and I'm a Biology major but the problem is that I am currently taking my General Chemistry and struggling beyond belief. I have never felt more lost or confused in a subject.

When it comes to Biology, everything clicks easily and I look forward to learning it. But chemistry has gotten to the point that I just want to drop out of my science major and never look at it again. I am pre-med also, so I know I can't avoid chemistry at all.

Am I absolutely doomed as a pre-med student/bio major?

See a tutor. If things don't improve, I would say look into majoring in something else.

There are other sciences out there.

Don't give up, get help. Organic Chemistry is not at all like General Chemistry, and for someone like you, chemistry will be easier next year, not harder.
