Does anyone know the semifinal qualifying cut off score for the 2003 - 2011 USABO open exams? The cutoff for last year's exam ( 2012) was 24.

Is there a website for Biology Olympiad like AoPS (Art of Problem Solving) of Mathematics Olympiad? My friend is currently preparing for USAMO mainly using AoPS, and that site is so organized.

I just wonder if there is AoPS-like website for Bio Olympiad...-_-

^CEE | USA Biology Olympiad
Go there, sign up and go to USABO Student Corner > Student Resource Center. They sum up everything pretty well there.

How is everyone doing in USABO studying? LOL I made the mistake of taking 6 APs xD
My first year taking AP classes, so I'm still trying to transition. It's a little difficult to find extra time on Campbell aside from regular studying for AP Biology. But I love biology so much, I'm still motivated

6 APs!!!! I'm not even taking one, yet I can't even find the time to study for this. I'm extending my break from studying from two months to three months. The first two and a half months I actually had a legitimate excuse (marching band),but now it's just laziness.

^Meh, I don't blame you. You're actually smart, because you're not doing horribly in your classes xD

You do marching band? That DOES take a lot of time (or so, I heard). I'm alwaaysss lazy. But I bet you're still ahead of me...

All right guys, I have a question. I've been reading this thread, and noticed that to make national finals, ravens biology and campbells should be sufficient. do you guys agree? I am a senior and need to make national finals this year, and also what extent should i study both books?

^Raven's biology? Not Raven's Biology of Plants?? haha, I think it would make sense to have a botany textbook along with a general biology textbook rather than two similar textbooks xD

But Campbell is definitely the most important, so I think it's important to know anything and everything inside Campbell!

I think it is very helpful (not important) to full read Raven Plant Biology and partially read Molecular Biology of Cells (Alberts). I am currently reading both books, and I have to say that they contain far more interesting contents than Campbell alone. Whatever the uncleared questions on Campbell Biology are answered on those two books.

Where are you guys?
