I'm dying to add something to weski's Top Gun post. Val Kilmer is my eye candy! Just as long as he doesn't speak, its good. The same thing happened to Cruise. Maybe its the middle aged crazies. And I had forgotten all about The Fighting Sullivans! There are so many I want to re-watch now, I think I should make a list for Friday nights with egg rolls.

I would like to have Harm in my home. (If the guys can talk about cheerleaders, then females need some equity on this forum.) He's really the perfect man don't you think: intelligent, but funny; strong, but sensitive; tall and fit, but not muscle-bound. I bet he also helps around the house or better yet, pays to have things done!

I'll let you know when the boxed set of JAG is released on DVD!

I would give you the reasons if I only knew who Harm was [is?] Is "Harm" in the carrier movie [Val Kilmer] or the television show, the JAG show?

In any event, aside from the Texas thing . . .

1.] Anybody named Harm is up to no good. He has been irreparably harmed by his name, a reflection of his mother's intent to harm any women that comes between her and her son, in which case he is too much of a momma's boy and just sees women as motherly substitutes, i.e. a girlie man; or by his father, who named him in an effort to warn potential mates that his son is harmful, in the way that moths are attracted to fire and ultimately burn in the pursuit of pleasure.

2.] Everybody knows that JAG officers aren't REALLY in the Navy; they're just doing it for the uniform which leads to the girls. [Hmmm, maybe that's reason enough. I knew that law school wasn't enough, nobody told me about the uniform part. Although carrying a gun seemed to be plenty attractive to the females.]

3. Harm. n 1: any physical damage to the body caused by violence or accident or fracture etc. [syn: injury, hurt, trauma] 2: the occurrence of a change for the worse [syn: damage, impairment] 3: the act of damaging something or someone [syn: damage, hurt, scathe] v : cause or do harm to; "These pills won't harm your system"
There you have it . . .he is harmful by nature or extension of his name.

Admit it, you would much rather be in the arms of a sensitive, corpulent, late 40s-year old MAN [not that the description applies to anybody we know] than the rugged arms of a uniformed 28-year old BOY with rippled abs.

Beside, I still say that Patricia Neal in the movie "In Harm's Way" was one hot Navy nurse.

Oh, Bill! Make that a 50 something fellow with a few experience lines and we're talking! But I admit that guys in uniform are pretty hot. Unfortunately, that's my son & friends now...(and that is NOT even a remote Mrs. Robinson thought!)

Harm = Harmon Rabb, one of those who won't commit or when he is about to, falls for someone who has more committment issues than he has.

Makes for a good TV show. But I missed the old General.

Does it count that I have a thing for Jimmy Stewart? And Patricia Neal was NOT hot. C'mon find somebody else Bill. How do you feel about Grace Kelly? Wasn't she in any war movies? I can't think of one off hand but she HAD to be cause she was hotter than Patricia Neal and I think you should pick Grace.
