Since there have been a few posts about sending food to our kids, I thought I'd let you know that the Fairytale Brownies I originally posted about are on sale! Here's a link to the sale page. I can't wait until they arrive at my house. Oh, yeah, I sent some to West Point, too.

Son & daughter also crave the powdered canisters of Gaterade or similar for their ever-present waterbottles. A new thing is little individual pouches of Crystal lite - add little packet to water bottle. Zero calories & livens up H20.

We found the Popcorn Factory (www.popcornfactory.com) good, cheap and reliable. Don't buy the giant tins, the boxes - samplers are great.

What is it about jerky & guys? That "hunter vs. gatherer" thing?

Haha, I'm a girl, and I have absolutely no objection to being sent a ton of beef jerky... although I don't know where I would keep it all.

funny but true: when the torpedo spent a week in Bancroft last summer he "discovered" lots of "stuff" squirrled away right above his very head in the ceiling- (apparently the ceiling tiles move!)- dirty dishes, food, a pair of jeans and a few other "unmentionables"....i guess that area must get overlooked in those alpha inspections! True- honest it is!

Here's a wonderful story (link from navysports.com) about an early Christmas gift for wounded soldiers and marines.

Glad you posted that DbH. Looks like easy to hide in a pocket for a quick pick me up too. A friend just sent me this link for those southern boys & gals. Moon pies & all:

Nuts. I missed post #38. Never you mind what I keep stashed away here. Our old civil war ghost "Mansford" keeps it all safe.

Moon pies = pieces of cardboard. Strange little things. And I found 100 empty RC cans in the recycle after Jamz' friends left. Yuck on that too. Its Coke or nothing! Remember Ski? Now there was a good one. LOL NRBQ? I'm not placing that one. Gimme a hint.
