I don't think you're right about test scores being the first thing they care about. Smith uses a holistic admissions approach. This is what Smith says on the topic: "Smith doesn't rely solely on grades and test scores to select new students; we choose people, not statistical profiles." There's a reason they're test-optional. So don't worry too much about it. Besides, your test scores are inside the middle 50%, and I assume you'll do better on the December test.
Stats for class of 2016: Smith College: For Guidance Counselors

Also, if you're not comfortable with your score on the SAT II, you don't need to submit it, it's optional.

Anyway, I'm just another applicant, but I think you look great! Good luck!

Thank you! I was quite nervous because I am in Chinese pool. There are too many Chinese girls with high scores applying to Smith, and they also have impressive resume. Thanks for your suggestion!

Jackiejiabei, I think you have a very good to strong chance of being admitted, although I suspect you are right that there are a good number of Chinese students applying to Smith. Guitar is right: SAT scores are only one piece of your profile and you can choose to submit them or not. Good luck with your interview tomorrow!

I just came back from my interview, and it went pretty well. I was pretty nervous though. Thanks for your suggestion. Hope I can get into Smith. I believe Smith will look at my overall profile.
