you must go on an interview! I think that really gave me a leg up!
Smith is my first choice school and I was ecstatic when I got accepted. I just need to look over the fin. aid to determine whether I will be attending or not.
I was also accepted to Mount Holyoke with a free plane ticket to visit. I like Smith better but it seems like Mount Holyoke will give me a better financial aid package. |

| Sister accepted, engineering scholarship. Smith, however, is not her first choice - she was accepted EA to a school in December that she very much wants to go to. I don't know her stats. |

| i got waitlisted as well. i was wondering if its due in part to the fact that i did not write anything "smith specific"- just my common app essay. oh well, once i get my other offers i will probably take my name off. i dont think smith was necessarily the right fit for me. congrats to everyone!! |

| Congratulations to all of you!
If Smith turns out to be your choice, I hope you have an amazing experience there.
My daughter is graduating this spring and has had such wonderful opportunities. She credits her success in grad school acceptances to her amazing professors and particularly her major advisor. They truly go beyond the call of duty!
I wish you all the best wherever you choose to attend college. |

- Awards: 9th place in Europe for golf 10 and 11, 5th place in Europe for golf 12; Coach's Award for Basketball; and some academic awards.
- Advice? Commiserations? Feel like bragging?: If you are 100% sure you want to go to Smith, apply ED. The acceptance rate is nearly 30% higher since it is self-selecting. And if you don't get in through ED I think you could re-apply through regular. Also, an interview I think would help, but I never had one. Do try, though. Yay Smith '12!!

| Minor 6th are you planning to play in the orchestra? Our D has enjoyed it though I know the conductor will be in Italy next year so I don't know who will be conducting. Our D is graduating with joint Music and Italian Studies majors. She loved Smith. Good luck to you all. |
